The objective of this project was to produce a quality design-build project for Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Civil Engineer Maintenance Facilities which will result in a built facility to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the administrative and training functions required for operation. This contract consisted of the design and development of a Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for construction of a two-story administration building and associated site work. The work included statement of work narratives, outline specifications, and preliminary drawings all to be included with the RFP documents.

The project included careful site planning and phasing of the construction to prevent temporary facilities for the current tenants. Demolition included removal of current buildings and capping of services at the main lines. Site utilities included rerouting a sanitary sewer main, extension of the existing water system. The storm system required underground detention control in the parking lot due to site constraints and a 1-mile offsite storm sewer will be required to alleviate some drainage problems the area has been having. The water system was looped through the site and connected 2 main lines to improve pressure.
